As a member of the Wilderness team, this person will be responsible for the security and protection of the assets at The Ranch at Emerald Valley and/or Cloud Camp during their closed seasons. The Caretaker/Property Manager is a seasonal position and will reside on-premises at the property.

What you will be doing:
- Check the security of all the buildings by making regular inspections throughout the properties
- Check maintenance, heating systems and general conditions of the property
- Perform regular inspections for weather damage or infestations from animals, rodents, and insects
- Check all physical plant equipment for proper operation i.e. water systems, etc.
- Provide fire watch
- Report suspicious activity or individuals on property to Broadmoor Loss Prevention
- Shovel snow as needed to minimize or eliminate water damage to the property
- Make periodic checks of the mule barn (Cloud Camp only)
- Recognize and report hazards (real or probable) pertaining to personal physical liability or fire safety and assets protection.
- Perform regular inventories of food supplies and other inventory items to ensure adequate amounts for possible extended periods of inclement weather
- Maintain the cleanliness of cabins and lodge
- Monitor road conditions and make reports to Loss Prevention as needed.
- Maintain daily activity log of rounds and activities
- Contact Loss Prevention to provide daily reports and as needed

What we are looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience and desire to work and live remotely with the ability to problem solve independently.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
- The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- The nature of this work will require that the person performs duties inside/outside and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions
