Job Title: Hospitality Manager in Training (MIT) Program
Pay Rate: $58,000
Program Overview:
The Broadmoor Hospitality Manager in Training Program is a 12-month immersive leadership development experience designed for recent college hospitality graduates and high-performing internal candidates. This program blends structured learning, cross-property rotations in specific disciplines, and on-the-job learning.
This program represents a valuable opportunity for MIT team members to enhance their skills, broaden their operational knowledge, and prepare for future hospitality leadership roles. Participants will leave the program with enhanced professional capability and the skills necessary to launch their hospitality career. Participants will gain deep operational knowledge, strategic thinking skills, and leadership capabilities across one of the two core disciplines:
- Food & Beverage (Front of House and Back of House)
- Operations (Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Laundry)
Program Design:
- Duration: 12 months
- Rotations: Participants will engage in learning rotations at their hotel. Cross-functional rotations tailored to the participant’s chosen discipline
- Participants will specialize in one core area while gaining exposure to all areas of Hotel Operations
- Monthly Check-ins, Rotation Presentations, and pre/post rotational feedback with Executive and Department Leaders
- Online and In-Person Training: Participants will attend both online courses and in-person scheduled training sessions
- End of Program Goal: Upon successful completion of the program to be offered a full-time management role
Program Benefits and Details:
- Housing for duration of the program (1-year) in one of our Employee Housing Apartments. Housing will be offered at a discounted rate
- Completion of eCornell Certificate programs and/or AHLEI Certifications through Broadmoor University Learning & Development. Options include:
- Food and Beverage Management Certificate

- End-of-Program Presentation: Participants will present their learnings and action plans to the Executive Team and Director of Training at program completion
Qualifications:
- Recent university graduate (within 1 year) with a degree in Hospitality Management or similar academic programming. We are seeking applicants who are passionate about a career in luxury hotel management.
- Preferred experience includes at least one year working in hotels or applicant has successfully completed an internship at a hotel or luxury property
- A letter of recommendation and/or referral letter from supervisor, faculty member, or school administrator
- 3 Years of consecutive experience working at The Broadmoor may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Must be enrolled in higher education related to hospitality
- Current team members must provide letter of recommendation from the Executive Team member
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times and employee may be exposed to fumes, toxic, or caustic chemicals
- This position may require driving. A Valid U.S. Driver’s License and clear Motor Vehicle Record is required
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
