What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vendor Management Specialist position at The Brixton Group?
Duration: 5-6 months (possibility of extension)
Compensation: $35-40/hr W2
Location: On-site in Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ office
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise technology vendor strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
- Lead strategic sourcing, RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor lifecycle management.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships through KPIs, SLAs, financial oversight, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee vendor financial reporting, forecasting, dashboards, and performance analysis.
- Ensure third-party risk, compliance, governance, and audit readiness across vendor engagements.
- Partner with Technology, Finance, Procurement, and business leaders to optimize cost, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Standardize vendor management processes, reporting, and automation to improve scalability and transparency.
- 5 years of experience in technology vendor management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management.
- Proven success negotiating complex technology contracts and managing enterprise vendor relationships.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting experience with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of vendor governance, third-party risk, regulatory compliance, and audit practices.
- Experience developing KPIs, SLAs, and vendor performance frameworks.
