We are looking for a qualified Master's level outpatient Therapist (Qualified Substance Abuse Professional I).

The Bridge offers excellent training, a great support system, and benefits, including mileage reimbursement and a cell phone stipend. We also offer supplemental pay for substance abuse certification and for licensed ALC, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, and LBSW.

YOU would provide outpatient services exclusively in DeKalb County (Fort Payne, AL) for male and female adults (ages 18 and over) with substance use disorder. Individual therapy addresses specific treatment plan goals, while small group therapy provides a supportive environment where clients can practice new behaviors and learn new ways to relate to themselves and others. The goal of our adult outpatient program is to fully support the client’s ability to meet the day-to-day challenges of sobriety by effectively using recovery skills.

This is a full-time, exempt, Monday-Thursday, 10-hours-per-day position in Fort Payne, AL.

  • Master’s degree in a clinical area preferred; bachelor’s degree considered (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above
  • Master's must have a practicum/internship from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education OR have post-master clinical experience
  • Valid Alabama driver’s license, proof of personal insurance, acceptable driving record, and access to personal transportation to meet with clients in a variety of locations
  • Possess basic computer skills such as using emails for effective communication, writing and editing in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, searching for information with Google

Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Conduct diagnostic interview examination
  • Develop and implement service planning
  • Provide clinical services in individual, group, and family therapy
  • Perform thorough psychosocial and placement assessments
  • Provide case management, recovery support services, and education
  • Willing to work with families and clients during non-traditional hours in a variety of settings including offices, jails, or other approved community settings
  • Consult with other staff regarding appropriate modes of treatment and interventions with clients
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with the treatment community, probation department, and other necessary and authorized agencies.
  • Assist in provision of treatment services
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record
  • Ensure the content of client files is in full compliance and corresponds with billing records

Pay: $37,440.00 - $41,974.00 per year
