Facilities Coordinator

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing care, maintenance, and readiness of TBF’s facilities. This role helps ensure both facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained, and prepared to support weekly ministry gatherings, Sunday services, special events, and other church activities.

The Facilities Coordinator will oversee routine maintenance and repairs, identify and address facility needs, coordinate outside vendors and contractors, and work to ensure spaces are prepared for ministry.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, proactive, dependable, and able to see what needs to be done and take ownership of getting it done.

Because this role directly supports ministry and facility operations, the schedule may occasionally include evenings, weekends, or adjusted hours for major events, facility projects, emergencies, or other ministry needs.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance Repairs

  • Handle routine maintenance and minor repairs across both facilities.
  • Regularly check buildings for repairs, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
  • Complete basic repairs, painting, patching, and general facility projects.
  • Keep facility tools, equipment, and supplies organized and maintained.
  • Coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors when needed.
  • Help manage preventative maintenance for building systems and equipment.

Building Ministry Readiness

  • Prepare both facilities for weekly ministry gatherings, Sunday services, meetings, and special events.
  • Coordinate room setups and facility needs based on the church calendar.
  • Set up and move tables, chairs, equipment, and signage as needed.
  • Work with ministry staff to prepare spaces for upcoming events and gatherings.
  • Reset spaces after use and make sure they are ready for what’s next.
  • Support facility needs for major churchwide events and special gatherings.

Vendor Contractor Coordination

  • Coordinate with facility vendors and contractors.
  • Schedule maintenance, inspections, service calls, and repairs.
  • Meet vendors onsite and help communicate facility needs.
  • Gather quotes for repairs or projects when needed.
  • Follow up to make sure work is completed properly.
  • Keep basic records of repairs, service visits, and ongoing maintenance.

Facility Operations

  • Monitor building systems and equipment and report issues.
  • Keep track of current repairs, maintenance needs, and facility projects.
  • Help order and organize facility supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Support facility improvement, renovation, and construction projects.
  • Keep storage areas and facility workspaces safe and organized.
  • Respond to urgent facility needs that could affect ministry or building use.
  • Keep the Director of Ministry Operations updated on facility needs and projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities, maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and troubleshooting.
  • Able to know when outside professional help is needed.
  • Organized, dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Communicates well with staff, volunteers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Flexible when ministry or facility needs require schedule changes.
  • Supports the mission and values of The Bridge Fellowship.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Able to safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic maintenance equipment.
  • Able to lift and move tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors.

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
