What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operational Director, Quality Parenting Center position at The Bridge Family Center?
The Bridge Family Center is searching for an Operational Director to oversee its two Quality Parenting Centers. The Operational Director is responsible for the overall operations, including staffing, program management, and administration oversite of the Bridge’s Quality Parenting Centers (QPC), also known as the Mosaic Parenting Centers (MPC). This position will also interface with all appropriate community agencies (as needed), assure that programs achieve and maintain all pertinent contractual requirements, and is responsible for the overall quality assurance of the programs. The Operational Director will provide directly supervise the Program Director of each QPC. While the position will be based out of the Cromwell QPC location, this position will regularly split its time between Hartford and Cromwell.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and provide oversight for effective and cohesive staff teams. Oversees the Program Directors in terms of their coordination, recruitment, hiring, scheduling, supervising, evaluating and training of staff.
- Develop and provide ongoing leadership training for Program Directors.
- Serve as Lead trainer in milieu training to ensure model fidelity and that all staff are trained in, and practicing, all concepts of unconditional positive regard, Motivational Interviewing and Risking Connection. Lead trainer of the behavior system.
- Monitor and triage referral overflow between both QPC locations.
- Oversee the administrative tasks such as scheduling, submission of payroll, paying of program bills.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with operational program components including, documentation, vehicle maintenance, and fire drills.
- Works with the Facilities Manager to oversee the service contracts for the program and interface with contractors such as electricians, plumbers, and Security system
- Coordinate with Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance of the physical plants for all locations, including purchases, repair, and upkeep.
- Fill in for Program Directors in their absence to maintain administrative coverage.
- Provide oversite for all quality assurance programs including but not limited to DCF PIE and Bridge data management systems.
- Represent the agency in various meetings with DCF and other groups. Maintains positive working relationship with various agencies including but not limited to DCF, schools, after-school programs, and legal representatives.
As this is a newly added position within the Bridge Family Center and the QPC programs, the responsibilities listed above are, as always, subject to change.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree required in related field of study. A minimum of five years of experience working with families and children as well as administrative management and staff supervision. Must also have a valid driver’s license and the ability to transport clients, if needed.
Skills: Demonstrates excellent organizational skills. Strong computer skills a must, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems (MIS, ADP/payroll software, etc.). Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Investment in the team approach. Culturally sensitive.
Salary : $75,000 - $80,000
