Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Create an engaging and service-focused environment for guests and team members
- Foster a culture of accountability, development, and operational excellence
- Recruit, develop, and retain top hospitality talent
- Lead with professionalism, integrity, and positivity
- Champion engagement initiatives that drive passion and performance
Financial Performance
- Develop and execute annual budgets and strategic sales and marketing plans
- Analyze financial performance to maximize revenue, profitability, and ROI
- Optimize distribution channels and technology platforms to increase market share
- Partner with senior leadership on capital planning and asset management initiatives
Guest Experience
- Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards
- Drive guest satisfaction and continuously elevate service delivery
- Maintain clean, safe, and well-maintained properties
- Actively engage with guests to build loyalty and long-term relationships
People Development
- Implement succession planning strategies to build bench strength
- Establish performance goals and provide coaching and ongoing feedback
- Oversee staffing, compensation, and HR-related processes in alignment with company policies
Community & Responsibility
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and associates
- Serve as a public ambassador within the local community
- Encourage team participation in community initiatives
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Previous Hotel General Manager experience required
- or
- Minimum 3 years as Assistant General Manager at a Marriott-branded property
- Prior Marriott brand experience preferred
- Local market experience a plus
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams and deliver measurable results
