Role Overview
As the Travel Center General Manager, you will spearhead daily operations and drive the long-term financial success of the Briad Travel Center. In this high-impact role, you will directly manage and develop one business unit and team, while also leading, inspiring, and supporting multiple business units across a diverse multi-branded location. With brands such as Circle K, Dunkin', Wendy's, Jimmy John's, Papa Johns, and Taco Bell in our growing portfolio, you will have opportunity to grow your career by consistently meeting and exceeding operational, brand, and financial benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily activities of one retail or quick-service restaurant (QSR) concept, empowering leadership team and associates to exceed targets in sales velocity, speed of service, guest satisfaction, and strict food safety/quality standards.
- Multi-Brand Integrity & Standards: Ensure cooperation and alignment of operational standards across all featured franchise brands within the specific Travel Center:
- Circle K: Fuel operations, retail merchandising, loss prevention, and c-store inventory management.
- QSR Brands (Dunkin', Wendy's, Jimmy John's, Papa Johns, Taco Bell): Strictly enforce brand-specific build-outs, drive-thru and counter speed of service, product quality, menu compliance, and health department/brand audit standards.
- Financial Performance: Drive leadership actions through the Travel Center based on P&L statements, product mix, labor, and cost of goods sold (COGS) across all concepts, implementing strategic adjustments to maximize long-term profitability.
- Culture & Leadership: Foster an engaging, accountable, and high-performance work environment centered on continuous learning, cross-training between concepts, and professional growth.
- Talent Management: Drive recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to maintain optimal staffing; manage the full employee lifecycle for plaza brand managers and shift supervisors.
- Team Supervision: Direct and mentor concept leaders across retail, coffee, sandwich, pizza, and Mexican QSR operations, ensuring they hit their performance targets and develop their own teams.
- Compliance & Safety: Guarantee total alignment with company policies, brand partner agreements, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Guest Relations: Elevate customer satisfaction across all concepts and resolve escalations swiftly with a hospitality-first mindset.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with corporate support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities) as well as brand representatives, field operations inspectors, vendors, and the local community.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Restaurant or Retail Management Expertise: Own and drive operational excellence as Manager of one specific business unit, developing future leaders that give you the support and space you need to grow.
- Multi-Concept Experience: Deep operational knowledge and direct experience overseeing QSR and convenience store brands (such as Circle K, Dunkin', Wendy's, Jimmy John's, Papa Johns, and/or Taco Bell).
- Fiscal & Inventory Management: A strong track record of managing labor costs, inventory controls, waste reduction, and brand audits across diverse menus and retail formats.
- People Developer: Genuinely passionate about mentoring multi-unit or multi-brand leaders and helping team members advance within the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing multi-unit POS systems, labor/payroll management tools, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office.
- Adaptability & Drive: Proven ability to navigate high volume, balance competing brand priorities, and lead teams through change in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills.
Position Requirements:
- Experience: 5 years of successful leadership experience managing high-volume retail or QSR brands. Multi-unit, big-box retail, or high-volume multi-brand QSR leadership experience is highly beneficial.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible, on-site schedule of approximately 50 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, twisting, and lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds.
- Travel: Occasional local travel required for regional meetings, brand training, or supporting neighboring locations.
