What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at The BrewPaddle Cafe?
The BrewPaddle Cafe is looking for a professional, experienced line cook to prepare food to the chef’s specifications, to set up stations and execute dialy prep for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction. Important skills are - egg cookery, knife skills, advanced culinary knowledge, and efficiency. Ability to be flexible and have a great attitude. A healthy work environment is everything to us!!!
About you:
You enjoy being organized and detail oriented
- You love food and are passionate about promoting great food!
- You have great communication skills and can work with others
- You have at least 2 years of line cook experience
- You are comfortable using restaurant equipment (including fryers, grinders, mixers, etc.)
- You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment (this is not a franchise)
- You have a positive attitude (work environment is important for everyone!)
Duties:
Set up workstations with all necessary supplies
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions promptly and accurately
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately (e.g. removing trash, taking out staples…)
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Experience: 1 year as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
