What are the responsibilities and job description for the PERSONAL ASSISTANT position at The Breeden Company?
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive support to the company owner of a dynamic and fast-paced real estate company. This pivotal role ensures the company owner’s time is managed effectively, enabling them to focus on strategic initiatives and leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a master of discretion, a trusted gatekeeper and a strategic partner who thrives in a complex, ever-changing environment. Your daily routine will be anything but routine. One day you might be coordinating a multi-city book tour, liaising with publishers, and managing press inquiries. The next, you could be organizing a private dinner party, researching for a new manuscript, or managing household staff. You will be responsible for extensive and complex travel arrangements, often at short notice, and will need to be adept at navigating logistical challenges.
This role requires a true partner, someone who can anticipate needs and take initiative. You will be responsible for managing all forms of communication, including emails, social media inquiries, and fan mail, responding on behalf of the principal where appropriate. Your ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people, from literary agents to personal contacts, will be crucial to your success.
The Ideal Candidate
The perfect person for this role is a highly organized individual with a passion for providing exceptional support. You should have previous experience as a Personal Assistant, preferably in a creative field. You are a natural communicator, both written and verbal, with a knack for building rapport with others. You are tech-savvy, comfortable with a range of software and social media platforms, and always eager to learn new things.
You are not easily flustered and can handle pressure with grace and a sense of humor. You understand the importance of boundaries but are also flexible and willing to go the extra mile when needed. A genuine interest in literature and the arts would be a significant advantage, as it will allow you to engage more deeply with the work of the principal.
Your Role and Impact
As the PA to the company owner, you will manage a demanding schedule, coordinate international and domestic travel, and oversee both professional and personal commitments. You will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
