About Us
The BreakRoom is Berkeley’s go-to spot for good times — featuring 12 pool tables, two full bars, great food, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. We’re open daily from 4 PM and host everything from casual nights out to private parties and special events.
Position Overview
We’re looking for energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Bartenders/Servers to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong service skills, a great attitude, and enjoys creating an upbeat experience for every guest — whether they’re shooting pool, hanging out with friends, or celebrating an event.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards
- Take and deliver food orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and service area
- Check customer identification to verify age requirements for alcohol service
- Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly and accurately
- Support team members during busy shifts and help ensure a fun, safe, and welcoming environment
- Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service guidelines
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years old
- Prior bartending experience required (bar or nightlife experience a plus)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification or willingness to obtain

Pay: From $19.18 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
