Job Summary:
The Barback/Busser at The Breakfast Club plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders, servers, and the overall guest experience by ensuring a clean, well-stocked, and efficiently run bar and dining area. This position requires high energy, attention to detail, and teamwork to keep service flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Barback Duties:
- Assist bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and bar tools.
- Maintain bar cleanliness by wiping counters, organizing stations, and removing trash.
- Refill ice bins and maintain a steady supply of garnishes and syrups.
- Clean and polish glassware to ensure presentation quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations behind the bar.
Busser Duties:
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently to maintain a quick turnover.
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages when needed.
- Keep the dining area, service stations, and floors clean and organized.
- Ensure guests have water and pre-bussed tables throughout service.
- Support dishwashing staff when necessary to maintain cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a barback or busser role is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (kegs, boxes, ice buckets).
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
