Buyer- Supply Chain Management

Job Summary

The Buyer will be responsible for facilitating the procurement process for the hotel. This role involves working closely with department representatives to understand their needs, liaising with suppliers, creating and processing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines. The Procurement Agent will also be involved in communicating product availability, suggesting alternatives when necessary, and managing order priorities to maintain efficiency and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing purchase requests and sourcing products
• Negotiating pricing with vendors
• Processing vendor bids and purchase orders
• Providing detailed information on pricing discrepancies
• Prioritizing orders based on urgency and importance
• Collaborating with hotel departments to identify new product requirements
• Maintaining the ordering management system
• Monitoring and investigating price discrepancies
• Tracking orders and updating departments on delivery status
• Ensuring quality assurance and brand alignment
• Working with management and warehouse logistics for supply replenishment
• Forecasting operational needs
• Managing capital purchases and liaising with the project management team for organizational projects
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement or a related field
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in vendor management
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze pricing data
• Organizational skills to prioritize and track multiple orders
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and procedures
• Ability to collaborate with various departments and teams
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes
• Experience with purchasing software or systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field; preferred
