Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves collaborating with various departments to implement quality assurance processes, conduct audits, and enhance overall product quality. The Quality Manager will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quality inspections of parts and their components at different stages of production (machining, forming, welding, assembly)
- Read and interpret blueprint drawings including Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)
- Measuring parts (Keyence, Faro Quantum Arm, CMM, etc.)
- Utilize precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to assess product conformity and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze quality data and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead quality assurance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project management best practices.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, findings from inspections, and audit results for management review.
- Train staff on quality control procedures and best practices to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel) to edit/create reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, related field or experience in lieu of
- Familiarity with metal manufacturing (machining, welding, forming preferred).
- Proficient in complex blueprint reading
- Knowledge with (Geometric Dimension & Tolerance)
- Experience using quality tools (CMM, Faro, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- ISO 9001 standards and quality assurance practices
- Epicor ERP experience, preferred
