Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team for the anticipated opening of a our bar at a pool hall in Stratford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, particularly in bartending and hospitality. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting cocktails, serving drinks, and ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing retail math skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Stay updated on drink trends and menu changes to provide informed suggestions to guests.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending (At least 2 years experience preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Proficient in math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and health regulations within the food industry.
