What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook position at The Break Hotel?
The Break Hotel culinary team at Chair 5 is looking for an experienced Line Cook who wants to cook for an elevated dining experience.
Chair 5 showcases New England classics with a touch of American comfort. In addition to our fare in the dining room, we also create a unique dining experience in our rooftop lounge.
As a line cook, you will be part of a team of chefs creating elevated dishes for both our hotel guests and the local community. You’ll help create amazing meals for memorable stays and celebration dinners.
What you will be doing as a line cook:
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients for dishes, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Cooking: Cook dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards, using various kitchen equipment like grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves.
- Plating and Presentation: Ensure dishes are plated attractively and ready for service.
- Quality Control: Ensure food is prepared with consistency, following the correct recipes and portion sizes.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep workstations clean and sanitized. Follow proper safety protocols for handling food, knives, and equipment.
- Coordination: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service, including following the ticket order system and managing multiple orders at once.
- Stock Management: Help with restocking ingredients and supplies, as well as maintaining inventory levels.
- Time Management: Work efficiently to ensure food is prepared in a timely manner, especially during busy hours.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years line cook experience or a recent culinary school graduate.
- Fine dining experience preferred
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
