What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at The Break Hotel?
We're looking for a few great people to join our expert housekeeping staff in our beautiful 16 room boutique hotel located in stunning Narragansett, RI. Built in 2015, the design and decor were inspired by our local beach and surfing culture and evokes a sense of calm serenity for our guests and staff.
Duties:
- Cleaning and/or refreshing guest rooms.
- Processing laundry in our on-site facility.
- Stocking housekeeping supplies.
- Cleaning common areas such as fitness room, spa, lobby, foyer, guest bathrooms, etc.
- May include some outdoor work, such as sweeping sidewalks, washing windows, maintaining pool area and the outdoor rooftop deck.
- Deep cleaning of all common areas and the hotel during quieter times.
- Some holidays and weekends required.
Qualifications and skills required; part time positions available.
- Prior cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Must be observant and able to make recommendations for improvement.
- Must be reliable and able to work in a group setting.
- Able to work efficiently and prioritize multiple daily tasks.
- Able to take direction and learn new methods and procedures that have made our hotel successful.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stoop, bend, and clean under furniture.
Compensation:
- Guaranteed tips beyond your hourly pay rate ranging from $2-$6 per hour.
