Position Summary
Braveworks is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to provide weekend maintenance coverage for our facilities and properties. This role is responsible for responding to maintenance needs, completing routine repairs, troubleshooting issues, and helping ensure our buildings, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently.
This position is primarily designed to support weekend maintenance coverage. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, able to work independently, and takes pride in quality work. Weekend on-call availability is required,
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure proper operation
- Complete repairs involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed
- Perform routine pool and spa maintenance, including inspections, water testing, chemical monitoring, basic upkeep, and helping ensure safe and proper operation
- Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately
- Assist with facility upgrades, repairs, renovations, and improvement projects
- Install, adjust, and repair machinery, equipment, and building components
- Maintain maintenance logs and related documentation using CMMS or other systems
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Work collaboratively with team members, other departments, and outside vendors when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical training or certification preferred
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience or related experience prefered
- Familiarity with building systems, maintenance tools, and repair procedures
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform manual work, lift equipment, and work in a variety of environments

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $20.00 per hour
- $75.00 on-call stipend for weekend coverage
- Paid sick time in accordance with the Michigan Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA)

This is an on-site position based in Houghton, Michigan, with work performed at Braveworks facilities and related properties as assigned.
