Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures.
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
- Support the bussing team by clearing tables and removing used dishware from dining areas.
- Follow all food safety management protocols to ensure sanitation standards are met consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, countertops, and storage spaces.
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including manual handling procedures and proper use of protective gear.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation practices within a commercial kitchen setting.
