The Kitchen Manager at The Brass Tap is responsible for leading back-of-house operations, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient kitchen performance. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and cleanliness
- Ensure consistent food quality and adherence to all recipes and presentation standards
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff; conduct performance reviews
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, and receiving to minimize waste and control food costs
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards (including ServSafe and local health regulations)
- Work closely with the General Manager and front-of-house staff to coordinate food service
- Monitor equipment maintenance and kitchen cleanliness
- Lead by example and maintain a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
- Ensure timely execution during high-volume shifts while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- 2 years of kitchen management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage inventory and food costs
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe Manager) preferred
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
