Events Specialist / Events Manager (Tiered Role)

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Schedule: Full-Time, Hybrid

Travel: Up to 25%

Compensation:

  • Events Specialist: $21.64 – $31.25 per hour
  • Events Manager: $70,304 – $85,000 per year
  • (Pay and placement depend on experience.)

THE ROLE

This is a tiered position designed to hire at either the Events Specialist or Events Manager level depending on experience. You’ll support or lead the planning, management, and execution of high-profile events and activations. ROLE LEVELS

Events Specialist

1–4 years of experience in event production or coordination.


Events Manager

4 years of experience successfully planning and executing events, managing vendors, and overseeing event logistics with increasing autonomy.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support or lead day-to-day project management.
  • Assist with or manage budgets, timelines, and production documents.
  • Support or conduct site visits, permitting, logistics planning, and creative development.
  • Source and manage vendors across all event types.
  • Prepare client-facing materials, decks, recaps, and status updates.
  • Support or lead onsite event execution from setup to strike.
  • Coordinate travel, supplies, insurance documents, and production schedules.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 1–4 years of event production experience depending on level.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage timelines, vendors, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and general event tools.
  • Experience presenting to clients (Manager level).
  • Leadership abilities, including guiding junior team members (Manager level).


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends depending on event needs.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Comfort navigating fast-paced environments with multiple moving parts.

Compensation Transparency

In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Law (Cal. Lab. Code § 432.3), the compensation range for this position is $45,000 – $85,000 per year. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
