ABOUT THE ROLE
The Brand Agency is seeking an Account Executive with a minimum of 5 years of PR agency experience, excluding internships, to join our New York City office. This role combines hands-on media and influencer relations, project coordination, and campaign execution across a portfolio of entertainment and lifestyle clients.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with established media relationships, sharp pitching instincts, and experience working with influencers, content creators, and talent representatives. They understand the cultural conversations shaping entertainment, fashion, beauty, consumer brands and beyond —and know how to translate those conversations into relevant opportunities for clients.
As a key member of the account team, you will drive day-to-day outreach, coordinate campaign deliverables, and contribute to client communications and strategy. We’re looking for someone who brings fresh ideas, sound judgment, and strong follow-through, with the ability to work independently, collaborate with senior account leaders, and guide junior colleagues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day client relationships and integrated campaigns across multiple accounts, partnering with senior team members to deliver against client goals.
- Participate in client calls and presentations, sharing updates, recommendations, and clear next steps.
- Execute media, influencer, and content creator outreach, including targeted pitching, brand seeding, partnerships, and event invitations.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, creators, and talent representatives across print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, newsletters, and social platforms.
- Draft pitches, press materials, presentations, creative briefs, and event documents.
- Track campaign timelines and deliverables, proactively flagging needs and keeping projects moving.
- Coordinate with junior team members, providing direction and reviewing work for accuracy and quality.
- Track coverage and creator content, assessing audience relevance, message inclusion, engagement, and progress toward client objectives.
- Monitor news, cultural trends, and platform developments to identify timely opportunities for clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of PR agency experience, excluding internships, with demonstrated success executing campaigns and supporting client relationships.
- Experience with entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, hospitality, or consumer brands preferred.
- Established media relationships and a proven ability to secure meaningful, top-tier coverage.
- Experience working with influencers, content creators, and their representatives on earned and paid opportunities.
- Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of today’s media landscape and how earned media, creator content, and social platforms work together.
- Ability to translate client priorities, audience insights, and campaign results into actionable ideas.
- Proficiency with media databases, monitoring, social listening, and reporting tools; sound judgment when using AI, including verifying accuracy and protecting confidential information.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and experience supporting or guiding junior colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Full-time, hybrid role based in our New York City office, with three days onsite and two days remote each week.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for client events and campaign needs.
- Availability for occasional travel to support clients and events.
