Social Media Coordinator

The Brand Agency | Knoxville, Tennessee | On-site

About The Brand Agency

The Brand Agency is a growing social media marketing and content creation agency based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

We help businesses build their brands through strategic social media management, creative content, short-form video, photography, digital marketing and storytelling.

Our clients span a variety of industries, which means no two days at The Brand Agency look exactly the same. One day you may be helping prepare content for a local business, and the next you may be assisting on a content shoot, building out a social calendar or helping launch a new campaign.

We are a small but growing team that works hard, moves quickly, supports one another and genuinely enjoys what we do.

As The Brand Agency continues to grow, we’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team and help manage the day-to-day execution of our clients’ social media.

The Role

This is a hands-on social media position for someone who loves social media, is extremely organized and wants to grow their career in marketing and content.

As a Social Media Coordinator, you’ll help take our clients’ strategies and turn them into consistent day-to-day execution.

You’ll be involved in managing social media accounts, organizing content calendars, scheduling and publishing posts, writing and proofreading captions, community engagement, monitoring accounts, assisting with content days, coordinating content approvals and helping keep multiple client accounts organized and moving forward.

You’ll also have opportunities to assist with content creation, trends, basic editing and creative ideas.

We’re looking for someone who is early in their career but already has a strong understanding of social media and is excited to keep learning.

You don’t need to know everything yet.

You do need to be dependable, organized, detail-oriented, comfortable taking initiative and willing to learn.

What You’ll Do

Social Media & Client Management

* Help manage social media accounts for a variety of clients

* Build and maintain monthly content calendars

* Schedule and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms

* Upload and organize videos, photos, graphics, captions and stories

* Help write, edit and proofread social media captions

* Make sure content is formatted correctly for each platform

* Monitor comments, messages and account activity

* Respond to comments and DMs according to client guidelines

* Complete daily social media engagement and outreach for applicable clients

* Help prepare content for client approval

* Track approvals, revisions and upcoming deadlines

* Assist with monthly analytics and reporting

* Stay current on social media trends, platform changes and new content formats

Content & Creative Support

* Assist with client content days and shoots

* Help prepare shot lists, props, products and other content-day materials

* Capture supplemental iPhone content and behind-the-scenes footage

* Help identify trending sounds, video concepts and content opportunities

* Assist with basic short-form video editing when needed

* Create or update simple graphics and social media assets

* Help turn existing client content into additional social media opportunities

* Make sure finished content is organized and ready for publishing

Organization & Team Support

* Maintain organized client folders and content libraries

* Upload and organize assets in Google Drive and other platforms

* Coordinate with our internal team and editors to keep content moving

* Track deadlines, deliverables, revisions and approvals

* Communicate clearly when something is missing or needs attention

* Help keep client accounts organized and on schedule

* Jump in and support the team wherever needed

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with 0–2 years of experience in social media, marketing, communications, content creation or a related field.

Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

You should have:

* A strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

* Familiarity with Reels, TikTok and short-form video

* Basic experience with Canva

* Basic video editing experience using CapCut or similar software

* Strong writing, grammar and communication skills

* Excellent organization and time-management skills

* Strong attention to detail

* The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once

* A good visual eye and understanding of what looks current on social media

* A willingness to learn new platforms, programs and workflows

* Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

* The ability to work in person in Knoxville

Experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, Google Drive, Slack, Frame.io or social media scheduling platforms is a plus.

The Person We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is early in their career but wants more than just a job.

You want to learn. You want to grow. You want to become really good at what you do.

You’re the person who notices when something is missing before someone has to tell you. You double-check your work. You follow through on assignments and don’t need someone constantly reminding you about deadlines.

You understand that social media moves quickly and you’re comfortable working in an environment where there may be several clients, projects and deadlines happening at once.

You should also be a people person.

You’ll interact with clients, business owners, our team and people on content days, so we want someone who is friendly, professional and comfortable walking into a room and connecting with people.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, positive, teachable, organized and willing to take ownership of their work.

We don’t expect you to know everything on day one. We do expect you to ask questions, take feedback, learn from mistakes and continue getting better.

Why The Brand Agency?

The Brand Agency is growing, and we want the people who join our team to have the opportunity to grow with us.

This isn’t a position where we want someone doing the exact same thing forever. As you develop your skills and prove you’re ready for more responsibility, there will be opportunities to grow into larger accounts, more creative responsibilities, content production, strategy and leadership.

You’ll also get exposure to multiple industries, businesses and types of marketing, giving you the opportunity to build experience much faster than you might working on one brand.

We’re serious about doing great work, but we’re also serious about creating a positive team culture.

We want our office to be somewhere people enjoy coming to work. We value collaboration, communication, creativity, accountability and treating people well.

We work hard, celebrate wins, help each other when things get busy and want people on our team who are excited about what we’re building.
