What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child & Adolescent Psychologist position at The Bradley School - Portsmouth?
The Psychologist provides school-based psychological assessment, treatment, and consultation for students attending the Bradley Schools. Staff Psychologists also may supervise undergraduate, graduate, and/or postdoctoral psychology trainees. A clinical faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University is possible for those involved in teaching and supervision of psychology residents and/or fellows. Opportunities also exist for administrative leadership roles for interested/qualified candidates.
Requirements
• Ph.D, Psy.D or Ed. D in Clinical, School, or Counseling Psychology.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the Rhode Island Department of Health as a Psychologist.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to school-aged youth, with consideration of developmental processes, as well as cultural, familial, and individual factors that may influence educational, emotional, and behavioral functioning and progress.
• One to two years of supervised postdoctoral experience within the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent psychology preferred.
