What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservations Agent position at The Bowery Hotel?
The Bowery Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in lower Manhattan, is seeking a full time reservations agent for $25.59 per hour.
You will be responsible for taking reservations for room bookings via phone and email; communicating with in-house guests, potential guests, and travel agents; taking room service orders; and assisting guests in general as a member of our Guest Services team.
Customer service, personal assisting, travel industry, administration or production experience is a must. Ability to work in a high volume environment with a calm and cool demeanor is essential. This is a position where details matter and communication is key.
- Existing Hotel and OPERA property management system experience is very strong plus.
- Answering all incoming calls in a promptly, professional and efficient manner.
- Attention to detail when entering reservations, noting requests, managing VIP's is crucial.
- Entering group rooming lists in accordance with Group Blocks.
- Research Daily Arrivals
- Communicate with the Front Office, Back of House and Sales Team to ensure streamlined service for all guests.
- Processing in-room dining phone orders from in-house guests.
- PBX duties
- Written communication with guests and potential guests via email
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- College course work in Hotel/Hospitality field helpful.
