Summary: The Venue Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing events including welcoming guests, facilitating event set up, organizing vendors, and managing event strike. This position is also responsible for gathering final details of every event, and communicating them to the team to ensure a smooth outcome.
Job Functions:
· Work closely with the sales and service team to understand event contracts and BEOS and communicate the policies and standards of the Bowden property to clients.
· Schedule meetings with clients to discuss final details of events.
· Conduct walk-throughs of property so that the property is in tour-ready condition at all times.
· Update Event Management System with floor plan, timeline and notes for each event.
· Coordinate event entertainment, including music, performers, guest speakers, etc.
· Perform other duties as assigned/required.
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience: Two years of experience in event coordination
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong communication skills and ability to present event ideas, plans and information clearly to clients, vendors and the Bowden team.
· Ability to effectively use a mobile device and related applications for business purposes, and to maintain and distribute a designated, business‑reachable phone number to support communication, coordination, and operational needs.
· Ability to task switch rapidly and pay attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and plan for unanticipated scenarios.
· Ability to operate a computer and use word processing, spreadsheet, and email software programs; ability to use event planning software such as Infor preferred.
· Exhibits positive team spirit in interactions with colleagues and clients.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, based on event schedule.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand on feet for multiple hours at a time, to walk, talk, hear, and see. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
