As a Playground Team Member, you’ll play a key role in ensuring a fantastic experience for kids and their families. Your responsibilities will include supervising play areas, assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the cash register and POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
- Upsell products and services by effectively communicating promotions and product benefits to customers.
- Conduct product demos when necessary to enhance customer understanding of items for sale.
- Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring that the cash register is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store environment.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering calls or assisting customers over the phone.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales or retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong basic math skills to ensure accurate transaction processing.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to upselling products and engaging customers effectively.
