Housekeeping Room Attendant
Job Summary
The Housekeeping team at The Boulevard Inn helps create lasting memories for our Guests by providing a clean and inviting “home away from home” during their stay. Housekeeping is responsible for the cleaning of all Guest rooms upon departure and during Guest stays as requested, and the replenishing of all Guest amenities as it pertains to the rooms, carts, and closets. Housekeeping is expected to clean all assigned Guest rooms daily to allow the Hotel to operate at full capacity unless otherwise instructed.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and floors according to the standards of the company
· Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and folding towels
· Making and changing beds of sizes ranging from twin to king
· Cleaning windows, walls, baseboards, and furniture
· Cleaning the guest bathrooms upon departure, or when service is requested
· Changing shower liner and curtains as needed
· Restocking carts and closets with linen, terry, and amenities daily
· Handle reasonable requests or complaints with professionalism and patience
· Keeping the hallways clear of all trash, linen/terry, and tableware from room service
· Clean all dirty status rooms unless otherwise instructed, following the “Come together, leave together” mentality of assisting co-workers as needed
· Adhere to the Company’s policy regarding uniform and personal hygiene
· Deep cleaning as assigned on special project days
· Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
· Report any lost and found Guest items to the Front Desk in a timely manner
· Report the status of assigned rooms to the inspector or supervisor before dismissal
· Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers
Basic Qualifications
· Physical stamina and mobility; including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend
· Ability to handle prolonged standing
· Ability to lift, push, and pull are required [up to 30 lbs.]
· Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
· Prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
· Working quickly without compromising quality
· Reliable, dependable, and honest
· Ability to speak and read English
· Ability to comprehend and take direction
· Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team
· A positive attitude and a passion for Guest service
· Must follow health and safety guidelines, and use Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, tools)
· Adaptability to handle unique situations that may arise relating to the task at hand
Starting rate for Housekeeping Room Attendant is: $15/hour
Expected hours for Full-Time employment is: 30-40 hours
Part-Time employment can be arranged
