Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring all meals are prepared to specifications.
- Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques in meal preparation.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other kitchen roles within the food industry.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Experience in fine dining or catering is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of menu planning and dietary aide practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
