Logistics and Transportation Technician (per diem)

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Security and Transport Manager, the Logistics and Transport Technician’s primary responsibilities are the transport of adult use & medical marijuana products from our cultivation and processing facility in Egg Harbor to our extensive customer base as well as in-house dispensaries and wholesale customers across New Jersey. Additional duties which are vital to the organization include assisting in order fulfillment, planning and shipment of products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with the loading of adult use and medical marijuana products into company owned transport vehicles on transport days.

• Partners with the Inventory & Fulfillment Manager/Wholesale Team to confidentially facilitate on time, safe and compliant transport of medical marijuana products from our facility to operational dispensaries across the state.

• Assists the Wholesale Manager/Security & Transport Manager in ensuring that all delivery routes and manifests are accurate and sent NJ CRC (per the regulations).

• Oversees and processes the physical receipt, handling, shipping and storage of supplies and materials for the satellite locations. Ensures that the supplies and materials received correspond exactly with documented orders / packing slips. Assists with the organization of supplies and materials on-site.

• Ensures accurate labeling of product, notating tamper seals, expiration dates and SKUs at the time of delivery; indicating any issues immediately

• Responsible for the transporting of materials using company vehicle(s); handling routine maintenance checks performed in compliance with travel logs and transport SOPs

• Collaborates with the Inventory & Fulfillment Manager, Security and Transport Manager and Compliance to ensure that returns/overages are accounted for and rectified in accordance with CRC regulations.

• Works closely with the Compliance team to ensure that all logistics and transport regulations are consistently met.

• Assists in producing weekly/monthly/annual reports.

• Assists in data entry for the sales orders and fulfillment processes.

• Corresponds with vendors and places orders for supplies and materials according to the company’s order/requisition process, as necessary.

• Provides supporting documentation of invoices and requisitions for budget and audit purposes.

• Partners with the Wholesale Team to facilitate accurate processing of customer payments, credits and returns.

• Provides all required documentation and records to the Canopy USA A/P team.

• Maintains all documentation and accurate historical records.

• Maintains confidentiality of NJ CCF New Jersey information.

• Conducts duties in accordance with all NJ CCF NJ policy and CRC Regulations

• Other tasks and projects as assigned by the Security and Transport Manager, Inventory & Fulfillment Manager and / or Director of Production.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• High School diploma or equivalent

Additional Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to pass state and federal background checks

Computers and Technology

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Manufacturing environment that requires extended time standing, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to carry up to 50lbs for a distance of up to 100ft may be required. Occasional extended and repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects. Ability to work in a humid and pollinated environment. On-site attendance is required.
