We are currently hiring a Full-Time Staff Accountant, Revenue / AR in Boston, Massachusetts.
You’ll help ensure Boston Beer’s net revenue and customer accounts receivable balances are accurate, timely, and compliant. You’ll work closely with wholesalers and internal partners to reconcile transactions, analyze balances, and support reliable financial reporting. At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $61,000 and $109,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.

- A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams' weekly schedule.
- Process customer billings and credits for wholesaler transactions, including returns and deposit redemptions.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and deposit liability accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Partner directly with wholesalers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate customer records.
- Support daily cash application and monitor accounts receivable aging to reduce collection risk.
- Collaborate with Revenue Growth Management and international partners to ensure accurate invoice pricing and revenue recognition.
- Contribute to weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and close activities.
- Support audits, special projects, and process improvements, including workflow enhancements using AI-powered tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2 years of recent accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of core accounting concepts and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Accounts receivable experience.
- Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience.
- SAP ERP experience.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered tools.
