Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the outbound shipping dashboard, accurately tracking shipments from initial request through final delivery
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments using FedEx, dedicated third-party carriers, freight brokers, international freight forwarders, and other appropriate transportation methods
- Support the shipment of Tunnel Boring Machines, heavy equipment, parts, and materials to local vendors and company locations, including Las Vegas and Nashville
- Prepare outbound freight by palletizing, banding, securing, and crating items, including building or ordering custom crates when required
- Generate and maintain accurate shipping paperwork, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, labels, and customs documentation
- Communicate shipment updates, delays, issues, and requirements to carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination, warehousing, transportation, or a related field
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with email, Google Workspace, and digital tracking tools, with the ability to lift and move materials weighing 60 pounds or more with or without reasonable accommodation
- Experience negotiating rates, schedules, and shipment requirements with freight brokers, third-party vendors, carriers, and internal partners
- Ability to maintain outbound staging and shipping areas in a clean, organized, safe, and shipment-ready condition
- Ability to quickly learn internal systems and processes, including NetSuite and other company shipping and logistics tools
- Experience coordinating full-truckload, less-than-truckload, flatbed, expedited, parcel, and international freight
- Experience shipping oversized equipment, heavy machinery, industrial components, or construction materials
- Forklift, rigging, load securement, custom crating, or industrial packaging experience
