Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is vital to ensuring a smooth and efficient food service operation, supporting various departments including food preparation, catering, and daily services. Prior experience in food service dish-pit or restaurant is REQUIRED. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas as needed
- Support food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or ingredient setup when required
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards at all times
- Food Handler Permit for Washington State required within 30 days of employment
- Help with general cleaning duties across the kitchen and dining spaces
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling
- Ability to read and follow daily checklists for opening and closing procedures are required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is REQUIRED
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends are required
- Basic physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks
