How Your Role Fits Into Boldt
As a Senior Project Delivery Services Manager for The Boldt Company, you will provide regional leadership to implement and create organizational capability for Boldt’s Integrated Lean Project Delivery® methods on all Boldt projects. The Manager provides leadership and support for the subject matter experts responsible for directly developing and implementing ILPD methods, including the Project Start-up Planner (PSP), Boldt Production System (BPS), Production Tracking and Earned Value Management, Built-in Quality (BiQ), Target Value Design (TVD), and others. This role will also provide leadership to those individuals providing frontline coaching to teams implementing these methods. This role also seeks to continuously improve existing parts of the ILPD approach, innovates and develops new methods, and ensures that the ILPD approach is connected with innovative technology, equipment, tools, and work methods. This role will report directly to the Corporate Operations Project Delivery Services Leader and support and be aligned with the Regional Operations Manager(s).

- Collaborate with other leaders and subject matter experts to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Boldt’s ILPD approach to delivering projects.
- Build capability in our project delivery professionals to lead and sustain ongoing development and implementation of ILPD methods to assure that processes are delivering and improving business results across all value indicators (safety, people, quality, schedule and cost).
- In coordination with the Operations & Op Ex Team, collaborate to shape Boldt’s Project Delivery approach (e.g., Kaizen/ PDCA, problem solving, A3 deployment, value stream mapping, daily management systems, standardized work, coaching kata, metrics, visual displays). Mentor and develop team members on these topics.
- Provide leadership in the advancement of processes, principles, behaviors and practices that support the Boldt’s ILPD Delivery Methods.
- Improve and deliver lean project delivery education and development programs to build the lean culture and ILPD capabilities of project personnel.
- Cultivate a sense of ownership and accountability among Operations teams for implementing and improving ILPD processes and methods.
- Lead and coach operations to develop, implement and improve ILPD processes in service of improved project results.
- Help guide the development of processes, requirements and guidelines for supply chain and production plans in terms of flow and pull through the value stream.
- Build capability in Boldt teams to conduct Gemba Walks and field observations to work together to analyze current state operations and to build capability to identify challenges, obstacles or problems and develop improvement plans to improve standard processes.
- Collaborate to develop our approach for removing structural constraints to Lean implementation and innovation by our field leaders.
- Develop strategies to enable project staff to implement approaches that improve our field crew’s ability to create a lean culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper application of the Integrated Production Planning and Financial Forecasting efforts for Boldt self-perform work and trade partner work (when applicable). Ensure updating of visual and other project control systems to promote continuous improvement and the growth and development of our field operations team.
- Support development and training of the Target Value Design process for design and construction.
- Provide lean facilitator coaching to Boldt staff.
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in management, construction, engineering, business, or equivalent area of study. Advanced degree or training is preferred.
- Ten years of business experience with a minimum of five years in Lean Implementation or Lean Project Delivery, or equivalent combinations of instruction and related experience.
- Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Kaizen/ PDCA, problem solving, A3 deployment, value stream mapping, daily management systems, standardized work, coaching kata metrics, and visual displays.
- Provide Servant Leadership – leading with humility and creativity.
- Embody BoldThinking- challenge traditional practices and process, practice Lean process and principles, and deeply integrate innovative thinking and problem solving.
- A valid driver’s license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons’ ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
