At Boldt, the Director of Business Development is responsible for growing existing client relationships and generating new opportunities that support long-term profitability. This role centers on strategic relationship development, market analysis, and identifying future revenue streams across key markets. As a visible leader, you will engage directly with clients, community partners, joint ventures, and industry stakeholders to strengthen Boldt’s presence and position for future work.
This role blends external relationship building with internal strategy execution. You will partner closely with marketing, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop and execute business development plans aligned with company goals. By maintaining strong market intelligence, leading pursuit strategies, and driving collaboration across teams, you will play a critical role in expanding Boldt’s footprint and delivering sustained growth in competitive markets.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $152,000.00–$202,000.00 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field, MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 7 to 10 years of AEC or professional services business development experience with strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build client relationships, drive strategy, and influence stakeholders through strong presentation and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on outcomes, continuous improvement, and leading change within a collaborative environment.
- Experience developing business in healthcare or other highly regulated markets.
- Established network of architects, engineers, and industry partners in Southern California.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems and regulatory environments such as HCAI.
- Experience leading proposals, interviews, and using CRM tools for pipeline tracking.
