Duties
- Perform advanced aesthetic procedures including dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and other advanced aesthetics treatments
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments (Good Faith Exams), including vital signs, medical history review, and skin evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Educate clients on treatment options, expected outcomes, post-procedure care, and potential risks to ensure informed consent.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic standards.
- Manage patient flow efficiently within the clinic setting, ensuring timely appointments and exceptional patient experiences.
- Collaborate with medical staff on complex cases involving acute pain management, infection control, or special needs such as memory or dementia care.
- Stay current with industry advancements by participating in clinical research, training on new techniques like esthetic laser treatments, and maintaining certifications in aesthetic medicine.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in aesthetics or advanced injector training preferred.
- Proven experience administering injections such as dermal fillers and botulinum toxin (e.g., Botox), with demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and dermatology relevant to aesthetic procedures.
- Experience working in medical office environments for documentation and scheduling.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess individual needs and tailor treatment plans accordingly.
- Critical care experience or background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or ICU settings is advantageous for managing complex cases.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, infection control protocols, and sterile processing standards.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams including dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
