CAMPER TECHNICIAN
Job Description
Camper technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, and other types of recreational vehicles. They’re often tasked with diagnosing problems with these vehicles and figuring out how to fix them.
Camper technicians may also be responsible for providing customer service while they’re on the job. This might include helping customers decide which features or amenities best fit their needs, explaining how different systems work, etc.
Responsibilities
- Installing and repairing Camper appliances such as stoves and refrigerators
- Diagnosing breakdowns and performing routine maintenance on generators, air conditioners, plumbing systems, and other components of Campers.
- Installing electrical wiring, plumbing lines, cabinets, flooring, and other interior components into new Campers
- Troubleshooting electrical problems with electrical components such as generators, batteries, inverters, and solar panels
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles such as motor homes, trailers, fifth wheels, pop ups, and camping trailers
- Installing and repairing satellite dishes and other communication equipment
- Installing and repairing recreational vehicle equipment such as entertainment systems, security systems, plumbing systems, roofs, air conditioners, and heating systems
- Installing and repairing appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and water heaters
- Performing basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience as an RV technician preferred
- Working knowledge of all aspects of RV maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and propane systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair RV systems
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills

Pay: $45,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
