Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barber role based in Medford, NJ. The Barber will provide a range of barbering and hair care services, including haircut, beard trims, and styling for clients of different ages and hair types. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients about desired styles, performing services safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation and tools, and following shop standards and state regulations. The Barber will also manage appointment times, assist with walk-ins, and contribute to a friendly, professional atmosphere. Additional duties may include promoting services and products, supporting shop operations, and participating in ongoing skills development.
Qualifications
- Strong Barbering and Hair Cutting skills, with experience delivering both classic and modern styles.
- Proficiency in Hair Styling and Hair Care, including finishing techniques and product knowledge.
- Cosmetology or Barbering license (as required by New Jersey state regulations) and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Effective communication and client consultation skills, with a focus on customer service and professionalism.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage a steady client schedule, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous barbershop or salon experience is preferred
