Account Manager (Digital Content & Marketing)
Role summary
BMA Media is hiring an Account Manager with a strong digital content specialization. This person owns day-to-day client relationships and delivery for assigned accounts while also producing and/or leading the production of high quality written and edited content across social media, blogs, websites, email, and related digital channels.
You’ll be accountable for clear communication, organized execution, and measurable outcomes—bringing BMA’s “show the work” mindset to every engagement.

What success looks like (EOS-style outcomes)
- Clients feel supported, informed, and confident—projects are on time, on budget, and well-managed.
- Content is accurate, on-brand, and effective (clear messaging, strong structure, minimal revisions).
- You proactively identify needs, propose solutions, and help grow accounts through smart recommendations.
- Work is tracked and managed with discipline (scope clarity, change control, and clean handoffs).
- You help protect team capacity by planning ahead and reducing last-minute fire drills.
Key responsibilities
- Account ownership & client communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Lead status updates, agendas, notes, and follow-ups.
- Translate client goals into clear deliverables, timelines, and next steps.
- Digital content writing & editing
- Write and edit content such as: social posts, blog articles, website pages, landing pages, email copy, scripts/voiceover drafts, and campaign messaging.
- Maintain voice, tone, and brand consistency across channels.
- Ensure content is proofread, fact-checked, and ready for publication.
- Content planning & production management
- Build and manage content calendars.
- Coordinate inputs from internal team members and vendors (design, video, web, paid media) as needed.
- Manage review cycles and approvals to keep work moving.
- Marketing coordination & performance mindset
- Support campaign execution across organic social, web, and email (and coordinate with paid media specialists when applicable).
- Track and report on simple, meaningful metrics (what shipped, what performed, what we learned).
- Recommend improvements based on results and client priorities.
- Operational discipline
- Maintain organized project documentation (briefs, outlines, approvals, version control).
- Track time and progress accurately.
- Flag scope changes early and help create clear options for the client.
Skills & qualifications
- 3 years experience in account management, project management, or client services plus hands-on digital content writing/editing.
- Strong writing fundamentals: structure, clarity, grammar, tone control, and editing judgment.
- Comfortable juggling multiple clients and deadlines without losing details.
- Confident communicator who can lead meetings and manage expectations.
- Working knowledge of common digital channels (web, email, social) and how content supports marketing outcomes.
- Highly organized: checklists, calendars, task tracking, and follow-through.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in agency environments.
- Experience with unions, workforce development, construction/trades, or mission-driven organizations.
- Modern Google SEO writing familiarity (search intent, headings, internal linking, metadata).
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate drafting/ideation while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Compensation & benefits
Compensation is based on experience. BMA offers a highly competitive union benefits package, including:
- Medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage (employer value typically $10,000–$25,000/year depending on single vs. family coverage)
- 401(k): 4% of salary contributed by the company (no employee match required)
- Pension: $1.45/hour
- Paid time off and company holidays
- Salary range beginning at $62,000 per year
