Global Markets Operations Consultant
A mid-sized, global investment banking group is migrating it’s back office subledger system from an internal solution to the Broadridge Shadow application. The candidate will be responsible for being a key Operations coordinator between internal stakeholders (IT & Finance) and the Vendor during the migration. The primary products are cash equity, US options clearing and asset servicing of the holdings.
The ideal candidate should have a detailed understanding of trade lifecycles (equity/options) & experience with broker dealer back office conversions. Detailed understanding of DTCC/OCC workflows required. Knowledge of the Broadridge shadow application is a plus.
The migration is underway with a target go live date of Mid July/mid August 2026
Essential duties and responsibilities
The role will require the candidate to
• Represent the Operations department during all conversion meetings.
• Create conversion documentation including executive summaries of all key deliverables and decisions required from internal senior operations stakeholders.
• Contribute to key deliverable tasks and dates (note, the roadmap is already mature)
• Assist in creating the chart of accounts
• Create and document all testing scripts, expected results, testing results, identify all gaps and changes needed. results.
Ø Trade capture
Ø Trade settlements
Ø Asset servicing
Ø Non-financial Reg reporting (short interest, REgSho)
Ø Security Master
Ø Account Master
Ø Reconciliations of workflow including cash and positions system vs clearinghouse vs general ledger
Ø Shadow output for accounting feeds
• Create and document migration strategies and playbook details
• Review current Operations Procedure and update to include applicable reference to the Shadow application.
Skills:
· Expertise in Operations workflows of a broker dealer in cash equity & US options trades, clearing and custody
· Technical understanding of how OMS’s feed a back office system and how the back office system interfaces with DTCC/OCC including TradeSuite workflows
· Experience leading and material contributor in a back-office conversion project
· Experience/familiarity of the Broadridge Shadow application a strong plus but not absolutely required to be considered.
· Understanding of project management protocols with best practice documentation required
