Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Cashier to join our team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. You will manage reservations, greet guests, handle transactions, and ensure smooth operations at the front counter. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will help foster guest satisfaction and support our vibrant restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and assist with seating arrangements or reservations
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments accurately
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide information about menu items or wait times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy periods
Skills
- Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Experience with POS system TOAST is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of guest services, serving, and restaurant operations is beneficial
