What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Photographer position at The Blue Door?
The Blue Door is expanding our photography and videography department! We are looking to hire an experienced photographer to assist our senior photographer in capturing engaging, on-brand product images and videos for our website, marketing, and social media content!
This position is based in our office in Columbus, Georgia. We already have your studio, models and stylist - the only thing missing is you!
*Due to the nature and volume of our business, this position is FULL-TIME (M-F 10-5:30) and can not be done on a freelance basis.*
Responsibilities include:
Light and shoot product images, both in studio and on location.
Engage with models, giving direction in posing, etc.
Work with our stylist to ensure products are best represented.
Edit and upload images to website.
Transport clothing and props to off-site locations.
Assist in steaming clothing.
Handle high volume in a fast-paced setting.
Self manage time to meet daily deadlines.
Required Skills:
- Studio Experience highly preferred: Understand composing, attention to detail, lighting, color.
- Computer Skills: Experience retouching photos, color correction, quick editing turnaround, basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop)
- Interpersonal Skills: Creative, great at multi-tasking, works well under pressure, takes direction well, team-player attitude.
