We seek an experienced HVAC Service Technician III for our Asheville, NC team. Candidates must have 7 years of commercial HVAC experience, an active EPA Certification, and advanced problem-solving skills. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, and VRF systems, while delivering elite customer service.
Job ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair issues in HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment (15 tons ), ensuring no callbacks.
Service, troubleshoot, and repair complex systems, including boilers, chillers, VFDs, VRFs, and chilled water systems.
Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements on mini-splits and smaller RTUs (15 tons or less).
Manage large preventative maintenance contracts (5 units).
Communicate with dispatch and account managers for job completion and client updates.
Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining issues and resolutions.
Pursue advanced skill development through company training programs.
Deliver elite customer service to ensure client satisfaction.
Uphold safety standards, including OSHA compliance and PPE use.
Reports to the local Project Manager, collaborating with the service team and clients.
QualificationsRequired:
Valid driver's license with acceptable record.
Active EPA Certification.
7 years in commercial HVAC settings.
Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Preferred:
OSHA 10 & 30 certifications.
Manufacturer certifications.
Experience with boilers, chillers, VFDs, VRFs, or chilled water systems.
Language Skills: Read/comprehend instructions, write correspondence, communicate clearly with clients and account managers, mentor junior technicians.
Mathematical Skills: Perform calculations for diagnostics/installations (rates, ratios, percentages).
