General Manager – Home Service Operations
Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $150K–$180K Base 25% Bonus
We are seeking a high-impact General Manager to lead and grow a $15M service operation in the Charlotte market. This role is responsible for full P&L ownership, operational excellence, and building a high-performing, customer-focused team in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on driving revenue, developing people, and scaling operations.
What You’ll Do
- Own full P&L responsibility for a multi-division service operation (sales, service, and installation)
- Develop and execute annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic growth plans
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion through new programs and initiatives
- Build and foster a culture of accountability, performance, and exceptional customer experience
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 60–70 employees, including field and office staff
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies, processes, and operational standards
- Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans quickly
- Partner with field leadership to optimize safety, sales performance, and operational efficiency
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management across the organization
- Maintain strong awareness of market trends and competitors to stay ahead in the industry
Leadership Responsibilities
- Direct oversight of management staff and team performance
- Set clear expectations, assign priorities, and drive accountability across all functions
- Conduct performance reviews, compensation planning, and employee development initiatives
- Build a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Health & Safety Leadership
- Champion a safety-first culture across all operations
- Ensure compliance with all safety programs, training, and regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular training sessions and safety meetings
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience leading teams in a B2C and/or B2B service environment
- Proven success managing and growing a fast-paced service-based business
- Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, or skilled trades operations
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability goals
- Experience managing mid-sized teams (50 employees) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
