POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE Testing of donor units for all required testing and infectious disease testing in accordance with the guidelines of regulatory agencies and the training of new donor testing technicians and technologists. |

| JOB REQUIREMENTS: | |
|
Education: AS degree in Medical Technology or BS in Science with appropriate MLT credentials, from an accredited institution. Education must meet CMS/CLIA qualification requirements to perform high complexity testing. CAP/CMS Testing Personnel Requirements for high complexity testing: Personnel performing high complexity testing must have at a minimum an earned associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489. |

| Specific Skills: Word processing knowledge and the ability to recognize and resolve discrepant results in testing | |
| Licenses: MT(ASCP) or equivalent, LA CLS-G license | |
| Experience: Experience in blood banking, clinical chemistry, immunology or molecular testing preferred |
