Position Summary
Baristas create great experiences for employees and customers alike. They run shifts, lead the store team and make decisions that impact store operations. This role is a great way to develop leadership skills and expand your responsibility. Shift Lead duties and responsibilities include assisting the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual, events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
- Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
- Communicates information to the manager so that the team can maintain a proper workplace
- Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to employees on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve employee performance
- Delivers excellent customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
- Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, need and concerns
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts
- Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Ensures all daily cleanings are complete
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Someone who always arrives at their shift on time and maintains a consistent attendance
- Able to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and possible holidays
- Is a great multi-tasker and able to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
