TBS is a leader in Fabrication, Media Blasting and Powder Coating, serving a diverse range of Customers including industrial, heavy machinery, commercial, municipal, as well as the public.
TBS is seeking a proactive, self-motivated individual who can manage a variety of tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision. This is a Part-Time position, with a maximum of 20 hours per week. This position could turn into Full-Time, based on the needs of the business.
The Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and organizational support to ensure efficient operation of The Blast Shop’s office and production support functions. This role assists with communication, documentation, and coordination between departments including Production, Shipping & Receiving, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Leadership.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support to leadership and department managers.
Maintain organized records, files, and company documentation (digital and physical).
Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails.
Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and company events.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and internal communications as requested.
Office Coordination
Maintain office supplies and place orders with Purchasing, as needed.
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and packages.
Ensure reception and office areas remain organized and professional.
*There may be times you are asked to assist with up-keep of common areas in between the scheduled weekly cleanings
Coordinate basic office logistics and administrative needs.
Production & Operations Support
Assist with entering and organizing production paperwork.
Support job tracking, documentation, and filing of work orders.
Help coordinate communication between production, customer service, and shipping.
Assist with data entry related to production logs, inventory tracking, or job records.
Customer & Vendor Communication
Provide professional communication with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
Assist with preparing customer documents, confirmations, or order paperwork.
Support customer service with documentation and order coordination when needed.
Additional Duties
Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Support company events, employee recognition activities, and meetings.
Provide backup support to other administrative or customer service functions when needed.
Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
Experience
1–3 years of administrative or office experience preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
