Our team works together with Portfolio Company leadership to develop and implement industry leading strategies in healthcare, cybersecurity, technology and data science, ESG and sustainability, and spend management with an emphasis on talent development and leadership. The Spend Management team supports over 240 global investment vehicles in the flagship Private Equity fund, Core, Tactical Opportunities, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Energy, and Growth teams, with access to a group purchasing platform and best in class eSourcing team and center to unlock value creation and professionalize procurement organizations at those portfolio companies. The group purchasing platform leverages more than $30B of global spend across the Blackstone ecosystem of portfolio companies to drive value creation and differentiated service and quality for more than 75 indirect spend categories. Job Description This role is an opportunity to support a formal procurement program across the portfolio with substantial adoption and impact year-over-year. This is a proven initiative within Blackstone that now supports all business units. The focus will mainly be to help drive eSourcing capability, adoption, and deeper integration within and across existing portfolio companies, and on establishing it as a standard best practice with new Blackstone portfolio company investments. Responsibilities and Qualifications The position requires excellent professional relationship building and management skills, and program management talent to institutionalize the program. Blackstone’s Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for driving significant growth of eSourcing impact across the global portfolio. In addition, responsibilities for this position include the following: •Provide support for every possible need on eSourcing including: pipeline development, issue resolution, event strategy and execution, reporting, supplier engagement, etc. •Support a select group of portfolio companies in a deeper more hands-on approach to demonstrate leadership capability Qualifications: •Significant experience executing strategic sourcing process for a large, complex, global corporation •Deep experience with, and strong understanding of, all facets of the eSourcing value, process, and tools •A proven track record of delivering distinctive eSourcing results across all types of capital, direct, and indirect spend categories •The strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent, unlocking barriers to eSourcing institutionalization and impact across the portfolio globally •Skilled at data analysis (Strong Excel and database skills a significant plus) Strategic Sourcing Experience: •Expert understanding of, and significant experience with, multi-step strategic sourcing processes and category management strategies •Strong project management skills, including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management talent •Results-oriented with strong commercial judgment •Embraces fact-based decision-making, seeks to leverage market data, spend analytics, and cost modeling •Comfortable with global projects; effectively facilitates stakeholder and supplier collaboration internationally •Interest in working within and across a large organization •Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; strong listening skills •Skilled in how to interact with internal customers; ensure frequent stakeholder communications for input and alignment; quickly and effectively identify situations requiring incremental stakeholder management •Experience within a private equity or broad portfolio is a plus •Builds long-term, trusting professional relationships with business unit leaders, engineers, and field/operations personnel •Comfortable meeting with/presenting to executives and senior management •Adaptable, disciplined, and highly motivated individual; motivates those around them •BA required, with preference for those with degrees in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Engineering (MBA optional) •Familiar with Ariba spend management suite/solutions or other providers is a plus •Proficient in all MS Office applications. Salary : $120,000 - $165,000
