**Position Summary**
The primary function of an employee in this class is to perform
supervised semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on pumping and
treatment systems in the Citys wastewater treatment facility, to include
pumps, booster stations, and treatment systems. Emphasis is on repair
and maintenance, but wastewater treatment and/or collection operator
skills will be required. An employee in this class may be assigned to
other maintenance duties in the Citys Public Works Department. The work
is performed, in coordination with the Wastewater Supervisor and the
Collection Supervisor, with indirect supervision from the Wastewater
Superintendent and Public Works Director. The principal duties of this
position are performed in an outdoor environment that may include
working in adverse weather conditions and hazards involving the use of
power tools, heavy equipment and exposure to hazardous material. Due to
the on call nature of this position, the working hours vary and may
include weekends, evenings and holidays.

- Performs supervised maintenance, inspection, and repair functions on
the wastewater collection and treatment facility;
- Performs supervised maintenance, repairs, and modifications on
