SUMMARY:

The Revenue Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing revenue audit team members and for ensuring the data is accurate. Recommending and implementing procedural changes that will improve the quality and/or the efficiency of the audit work performed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management.

  • Ensures departmental compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues
  • Develops revenue audit checklists to properly address internal control and compliance requirements
  • Evaluates audit procedures, recommending areas for improvement
  • Implement new processes derived from changes to internal or external requirements
  • Identifies and develops measurable goals for the department and team members
  • Reviews audits for accuracy and compliance
  • Reviews end-of-month reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Oversees document retention
  • Interviews and hires Revenue Audit team members
  • Performs annual review of Revenue Audit team members
  • Assist in coordinating internal and external audit requests at the direction of the Controller
  • Oversees team member training and development.
  • Approves work schedules, salary adjustments and staffing needs for the Revenue Audit department
  • Provides professional representation at internal and external meetings and events.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
  • May be required to work holidays, weekends, and evenings to meet deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling, appraising employee performance, issuing disciplinary action in concurrence with the Controller and resolving disputes.
  • Can recommend to the Controller, performance standards, policy and procedure changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, hiring and terminations.
  • This position may be assigned further supervisory authority as directed by the Controller.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Gaming industry experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and effective public speaking skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, tax rules and policies.
  • Ability to maintain concentration for extended periods of time and to handle multiple tasks and job duties simultaneously.
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Sac and Fox Nation Gaming License

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Some college courses in Accounting, Finance or related area preferred.
  • Experience in Revenue Audit preferred.
  • Familiar with accounting, management and office software systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to speak effectively before groups and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. At times lift up to 40lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
